Pathways for misconduct and other concerning behaviours
Some complaints, including misconduct, discrimination, or harassment, are handled though dedicated pathways with specialist support services. These pathways can run alongside, or in some cases, before, the general complaints process. You can access specialist support whether or not you decide to make a formal complaint.
Types of misconduct and concerning behaviours
Choose the option that best matches your situation to find the right support and next steps.

If you want to take formal action, you can submit a complaint through the University's complaints process.
-
If your issue involves aggressive, disruptive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour by another student, you can contact the Safer Community Program for confidential guidance. Student conduct matters are managed under the Student Conduct Policy (MPF1324).
-
If your issue involves sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct or gender-based violence, confidential support is available immediately. You do not need to make a formal complaint to access support, and you can choose to report at a time that is right for you.

The Safer Community Program can help you understand your options and explain formal reporting pathways under the University's Sexual Misconduct and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Policy (MPF1359).
